Paint Fumes

I snapped this in front of our garage back in October when I was photographing wreaths for our holiday issue of the magazine.

The truck looks a lot different now! Harper and Gary finished painting it a few days ago and have been letting the paint cure before bolting it back together.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the paint fumes are getting to him? I only stayed in there long enough to take a few pictures.

Back to business!

I can’t wait to see it all put together!

Our carpenter, Peewee, has been working on the closet in the nursery for the past few days. He’ll probably be finished tomorrow or Friday, which is a huge relief considering I’m due in 11 days!

I’m already loving the adjustable built-in shelves!  Tomorrow he will be working on the door. We are actually recycling the door from the sun-room/office area. It hasn’t been functional for a while, and I’m embarrassed to admit that we had never even replaced the glass since this happened (You have to scroll down to the June 29 entry to see…).

Harper is convinced the baby is coming this weekend. He said that he’s ready to love him, and hold him, and call him George. I laughed and told him that he could love him and hold him, but he could not call him George!

I have no clue whether the baby will be early, on time, or late. But I do know that it seems like he’s grown A LOT just in the past few days, and that makes me nervous when I think about him getting even bigger over the next 11 days or more.

Another one of the vintage toys I found on eBay arrived! I’m just waiting on one more shipment now.

Well, I better get back to being productive!

  1. I literally cannot believe you are due in 11 days! I guess I won’t get to see you before:( But we can see you after!!! How exciting! So, so happy for you guys. I don’t know when I’ve seen a baby with a cooler ‘crib’ and parents. Lucky little man.

  2. Ha ha – ps you know Sonny’s real name is ‘George’…not that I recommend it;)
