It’s really starting to look and feel like summer around here. Of course, summer usually looks a lot better than it feels in our part of Texas. I’m not complaining, though–we’ve had several rains in the last few weeks, and we are so thankful. We just never know when or if it’s going to be the last rain for the season.
I haven’t taken as many pictures as I should have lately, but I do have a few…
The baby pool and slide are really too small, but they are such an easy way to cool off. We have two other slides that are taller, but this one is small enough to go into the pool, it’s easy to move around, and it’s slicker and steeper, which means he can get to the water faster. Obviously, he’s thrilled with it. If only he could talk Venus into jumping in, too!
I’d love to have a real pool one of these days, but right now, this is just so easy–and cheap!
Swinging is Tice’s other favorite pastime. I guess he loves it so much, he thinks his beloved toys enjoy it equally.
The garden is producing lots of tomatoes (and weeds!). I’ve been using them in most of our meals, and I made a batch of marinara with the ones below. It was delicious, but it made less than I had hoped it would. I’m planning to make a second batch tomorrow.
This sunflower is one of the weeds in the garden. Of course, I’m letting it grow!
I’ve planted more coleus and red pintas than anything else this season. I’ll be back later with more garden pictures.
