November Slice of Life

I just found out that the temperature tonight might dip below freezing. Don’t you love how they change the forecast a few hours before it happens? I’m going to be so sad if it freezes! I’m not ready for the yard to look dead. And my Rangoon Creeper is covered with buds for the first time this year. The first blooms will/would probably open tomorrow.

Instead of worrying about the freeze warning and the fact that I’m fighting a cold, I’m going to focus on the good things going on right now. Really good things going on, such as… tomorrow is our tenth wedding anniversary! Yep, TEN years. I can’t believe it. Best decade of my life. And Tice is ten months old today, so we have a lot to celebrate.

And I have pictures to share from the first of November. What a great evening! Forgive me if there’s not much writing. I’m tired and sniffly, and I want to finish this post tonight.

The photos bellow are in the order they were taken.

I retook some Bamm-Bamm pictures with the pumpkins. Once I realized that the sewing machine wasn’t really broken (just a user error…), I finished Tice’s costume. Unfortunately, the paper club was not available for the photo, so Tice held a more realistic version for a few seconds. Then I decided we didn’t really need a club that badly. Props are overrated.

He looks so angelic without the club.

Then he tried to eat a flower.

Glorious baby rolls. They’ll probably be gone the next time it’s warm enough for him to go without a shirt. Boo hoo.

He looks like a little barbarian–a sweet barbarian. If you look at the banner at the top of the page, one of the pics is Tice in the grass at Easter. He looks so different now! But also the same…

Hook ‘Em!

I know this is horrible pic, but I had to include it. Tice was squealing with delight as Queso rubbed on Sargent. The cats love that dog, and Tice loves them all.

Ava stopped and posed on her good leg. Her feathers are looking pretty ragged. For some reason she always molts late, which means she’ll be loosing all her feathers when it’s already cold outside. I’m sure we’ll have to put a heat lamp out there for her like we have in the past.

A downy feather from one of the hen’s petty coats landed on my cocktail. Does that make it a hentail? Ha ha ha. I’m delirious.

I know, I already used this pic at the top, but this is the order it was taken in, so I wanted to include it again.

I changed Tice back into his clothes so he could play without the mosquitoes having so much area to feast on.

I love how he’s using that leg for leverage.

Tired eyes.

Daddy’s home!

It’s our favorite time of the day.

I know the composition on this shot isn’t great, but I love how they’re in the same position! So cute. Ava is so good about letting him pet her.

Winding down–it looks like it’s time for dinner and a bath.

Have a wonderful weekend!
