Merry Christmas!

I know it’s still several days away, but I might be busy then having a baby, so Merry Christmas, y’all!

I spent most of the weekend nesting, so I feel closer to being ready for baby’s arrival. And the last few days have just made me even more thankful that I’m married to my best friend. He has been so supportive and nesting right along with me, so we’re getting twice as much accomplished. I just feel so blessed that he’s the father of my baby and that we’ll be figuring out parenthood together.

I haven’t seen this stage of the truck in person yet, but Harper texted me this picture on Saturday. It’s looking so good! I can’t believe it’s the same pieces of metal that they started with.

I’ll sign off with this moody picture of one of our beloved felines, Queso. If it is even the slightest bit too cold, or a little too warm outside, home girl wants to be inside. I caught her napping peacefully in the dining room when I was about to upload pictures of the nursery the other day, but she sat up before I could capture her sprawled on the dining room chair. Instead I caught her half-awake look. Go back to sleep, sweet girl.

And she did.

  1. My husband (David Vanston) went to high school with you and your husband and showed me your blog a while back. It’s always one of my favorites to read and has given me lots of great ideas to implement in my dream farmhouse…some day.

Your nursery is coming along beautifully. I can’t wait to see pics of your sweet little angel!

Thanks, Sarah! Harper has showed me pictures of your beautiful family (and puppy) from FB! We should all get together one of these days–we haven’t seen David in years, and it would be nice to meet you in person! Merry Christmas!
